ILDIS简介

    豆科为被子植物继菊科和兰科之后的第三大科，约有17834种植物，中国有豆科植物1518种。豆科含有丰富的经济作物、药用植物及饲用植物资源，与人类关系密切，倍受植物学家的高度重视。ILDIS（国际豆类数据库与信息服务中心）为研究豆类植物的大型国际组织，意在确定和编目世界豆科植物种类，为人们应用和开发豆类植物资源提供技术平台。它位于英国雷丁大学，负责世界12个国家区域中心的协调工作。CLDIS(Chinese Legume Database and Information Service，中国豆类数据库与信息服务中心)作为该组织的新成员，将在ILDIS的指导下，积极开展调查、收集和建立中国豆科植物资源及影像数据库工作，为进一步开发中国豆类植物资源提供详实的基本资料。项目申请人朱相云博士目前主持两项豆科植物研究国家基金项目，作为此次合作项目的一部分，正在按计划开展工作。申请者多年从事豆类植物研究，2003年5月起承担中国科学院"生物多样性信息系统-豆类植物资源的数据库工作"，已完成部分数据库建设工作，通过此合作研究并以此为锲机，使之共享于世界豆科数据库，为中国乃至世界人民服务。该项目的申请，将有利于推动和加强CLDIS与ILDIS的进一步合作与理解，进一步完善CLDIS的科研管理工作，并使之融会于"国际豆科大家庭之中"。

An introduction to ILDIS

    Legume family (Legumimosae or Fabaceae) is the third largest plant family after Compositae and Orchidaceae, which includes more or less 17834 species in the world. Only there are 1518 species of legumes in China. This is a very important group because legume family supplies staple foods, fodder and other useful products for billions of humans. The International Legume Database & Information Service (ILDIS) is an international organization that aims to document and catalogue the world's legume species in readily accessible form. It locates at the University of Reading, UK. Regional centers in 12 countries and a network of 48 taxonomic experts are participating on a co-operative basis to pool information in the ILDIS World Database of Legumes, which is used to provide a worldwide information service through electronic access, publications and enquiry services (www.ildis.org). CLDIS as a new regional center of ILDIS situated at the Institute of Botany, the Chinese Academy of Sciences will accumulate and contribute data and knowledge on diversity of Legumes in China to the Global database. Co-operation between UK experts, ILDIS Co-ordinating centre and Chinese specialists began formally from April 2004 after the foundation was proved by National Natural Science Foundation of China and Royal Society. For further understanding to the future collaboration between ILDIS and CLDIS, the project is smoothly going.
